Recent reports have suggested that Manish Goel, currently playing the character of Raghav in the popular television show Anupamaa, is planning to leave the show due to differences with co-star Rupali Ganguly, who plays the titular role. However, Manish Goel has refuted these claims, stating that there is no truth to the rumors of a fallout.

According to an initial report by India Forums, a source from the show's set claimed that "Manish and Rupali had differences, which is why he will be quitting the show and the show will take another leap then". This sparked speculation among fans, especially given the show's history of off-screen controversies and actors exiting the show.

Manish Goel addressed these rumors in an interview, dismissing them as "completely false". He clarified that he and Rupali Ganguly have known each other for a long time and have a good working relationship. "Rupali aur meri pehchaan aaj ki nahi hai. I've known her since I landed in Mumbai. This is the fourth time we are working together," he stated. He further added, "There is neither spark nor fire. I honestly don't understand why people make up such stories".

Manish also clarified the nature of his role in Anupamaa, stating that it was always intended to be a cameo for three to four months, and he has already completed three months. He added that he is still actively shooting for the show and has not been informed of any upcoming leap or changes to his character. "As for quitting, I had six scenes today—I've already shot four. I also have my call time and scenes for tomorrow," he confirmed.

In other news, the poster for the film Operation Sindoor has been removed, and director Uttam Maheshwari has issued an apology following severe backlash. The film, produced by Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films and The Content Engineer, is reportedly inspired by India's military response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack.

The poster, which featured a female soldier applying sindoor (vermilion) while holding a gun against a war-torn backdrop, was criticized for being insensitive and for attempting to commercialize a sensitive issue, especially with tensions escalating along the India-Pakistan border. Many social media users questioned the timing of the announcement, calling it a "commercialization of a sensitive issue" and accusing the filmmakers of exploiting the situation for their benefit.

Uttam Maheshwari issued a public apology on social media, stating that his intention was not to hurt anyone's feelings. He explained that he was "moved by the courage, sacrifice, and strength of our soldiers and leadership" and wanted to share their story. He also expressed deep regret for any offense caused by the announcement. "I apologize for announcing a film inspired by the Indian Army's 'Operation Sindoor'," Maheshwari stated. He emphasized that the film was born out of respect and love for the nation, not personal gain, but acknowledged that the timing had "caused discomfort or pain".

Despite the apology, some critics pointed out that Maheshwari continued to promote the film on social media, further fueling the controversy. The incident has also reignited the debate over the commercialization of national events and tragedies in Indian cinema.
