Anubhav Sinha, the director known for his socio-political films like "Mulk" and "Article 15," recently shared his perspective on Shah Rukh Khan, the Bollywood superstar, describing him as "middle class" at heart. Sinha, who directed Khan in the 2011 superhero film "Ra.One," emphasized that this observation isn't about Khan's financial status, but rather about his values and what truly brings him happiness.

Sinha explained that despite Shah Rukh Khan having "all the money in the world," his core values remain grounded. He highlighted that being middle class is not solely defined by one's economic standing, but also by one's priorities and sources of joy. Sinha illustrated this by posing the question of whether luxury items like Gucci bring more happiness than the well-being of one's family.

According to Sinha, Shah Rukh Khan's devotion to his sister, Shahnaz Lalarukh Khan, and his children – Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam – exemplifies his middle-class values. He sees how the actor cherishes his family. This focus on family and close relationships, according to Sinha, is a hallmark of a middle-class mindset, even in someone as successful and wealthy as Shah Rukh Khan.

The director also reflected on his experience working with Shah Rukh Khan during "Ra.One." He admitted that the film's failure was a "heartbreak" that he carried for years. Despite the film's shortcomings, Sinha seems to have a great deal of respect and affection for Khan. He described feeling like a "kid lost in a candy store" while working with the superstar, suggesting that he was initially overwhelmed by Khan's stardom and charisma.

It's important to note that Sinha's comments are not intended as a criticism. He seems to admire Shah Rukh Khan for maintaining a sense of humility and strong family values despite his immense success. Sinha's observation provides an interesting insight into the actor's personality, suggesting that his down-to-earth nature and focus on family are key aspects of his character.
