Sonali Bendre recently reminisced about filming the popular Marathi song "Cham Cham Karta Hai" from the movie "Aga Bai Arrecha," revealing a surprising detail: she was pregnant at the time but completely unaware of it. This revelation came during a recent conversation with choreographer-director Farah Khan.

Farah Khan, who visited Sonali’s house and prepared a Kashmiri Gucchi Pulao, reminisced about the songs they had worked on together, including "Aankhon Mein Base Ho Tum" and "Duplicate," before mentioning "Cham Cham Karta Hai." It was then that Sonali chimed in with the surprising fact that she didn't know she was expecting during the shoot.

Farah recalled that during the "Cham Cham Karta Hai" shoot, Sonali had a certain "fullness" that reminded her of a classic "filmy heroine." Teasingly, Farah had joked that Sonali's husband, Goldie Behl, was feeding her well with Punjabi food. Sonali, unaware of her pregnancy, laughed along. It was only later that she discovered she was pregnant. Despite the surprise, Sonali completed the dance number without any issues.

Sonali also shared her experience of working with Farah Khan, noting how comfortable and fun it was compared to working with Saroj Khan, from whom she always anticipated being scolded. She said that with Farah, despite her appearance of being strict, there was always love and fun, eliminating any stress on set.

The song "Cham Cham Karta Hai" comes from the 2004 Marathi comedy-drama "Aga Bai Arrecha," directed by Kedar Shinde, which was inspired by the Hollywood film "What Women Want." The movie revolves around a common man's life and the everyday challenges he faces in Mumbai.

Sonali Bendre's career began with modeling before she made her Bollywood debut in 1994 with "Aag." Although she experienced initial setbacks, she gained recognition in 1996 with the romantic action film "Diljale." Her subsequent roles in films like "Duplicate," "Major Saab," and "Hum Saath Saath Hain" solidified her position in the industry. Besides Hindi films, Sonali also acted in Telugu movies, including "Murari," "Indra," and "Manmadhudu."

Sonali married filmmaker Goldie Behl in November 2002, and they welcomed their son in 2005.

In other news, Sonali Bendre had spoken about her initial nervousness when returning to acting after her cancer treatment. She expressed that her body and memory were not the same as before and that she felt like she had aged significantly due to the treatment. However, she also mentioned that the camera felt like home and that she was grateful for the opportunity to continue working.

Beyond acting, Sonali also runs a digital book club. She started the book club as a way to get back to reading after having her son. She realized that social media could be used as a tool to connect with others and share her love of books.
