According to reports, Shefali Jariwala suffered a cardiac arrest on Friday night. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, but was declared dead on arrival. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, along with three others, accompanied her to the hospital. Dr. Sushant from Bellevue Hospital confirmed her death and stated that her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The news of Shefali's passing has been met with an outpouring of grief from her friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry. Singer Mika Singh, a close friend of Shefali, expressed his shock and sadness, writing, "I'm deeply shocked, saddened, and feeling a heavy heart... Our beloved star and my dearest friend @shefalijariwala has left us. Still can't believe it. You will always be remembered for your grace, smile, and spirit. Om Shanti".

Divyanka Tripathi reacted to the news with disbelief, commenting on a social media post, "It's unbelievable. We are shocked and sad for the family". Rajiv Adatia and Panjabi Kamya also expressed their disbelief at the news.

Shefali Jariwala rose to fame in the early 2000s with the iconic music video "Kaanta Laga," which made her a household name across India. She later appeared in Bigg Boss 13, where she was praised for her performance. She also acted in a few regional films and television shows and remained active in the entertainment industry through endorsements, events, and social causes. She also featured in Salman Khan's Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.

In a 2021 interview, Shefali revealed that she had been battling epilepsy since the age of 15. She stated that she had experienced seizures in various places, which had affected her self-esteem and career choices. "Stress and anxiety could lead to seizures. It is inter-related, you could get a seizure due to depression and vice versa. I have got seizures in classroom, during backstage, on roads and somewhere that lowered my self-esteem," she said. She added that this was the reason she could not take up much work after "Kaanta Laga," as she suffered from epilepsy for 15 years and could not predict when the next seizure would happen.

Shefali was known for her outspoken personality and strong presence on social media. Over the years, she also became an advocate for mental health awareness and women's empowerment. Her sudden passing is a great loss to the entertainment industry, and she will be remembered for her talent, charm, and contribution to early 2000s pop culture.
