The entertainment industry is in mourning following the sudden death of Shefali Jariwala, best known for her "Kaanta Laga" music video and appearances on Bigg Boss 13. The 42-year-old actress passed away on June 27 in Mumbai, leaving behind a void in the hearts of her fans and colleagues.

Priyanka Chopra, who shared screen space with Shefali in the 2004 film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, expressed her shock and grief over the untimely demise. Taking to Instagram, Priyanka shared a photo of Shefali and wrote, "So shook. She was too young. Sending condolences to Parag and the family". Her heartfelt message resonated with many who felt that Shefali left too soon.

Shefali's death has sent shockwaves through the industry, with many celebrities expressing their condolences. Mika Singh, Rashami Desai, Aarti Singh, and Esha Deol were among those who shared emotional tributes and fond memories of the late actress on social media.

While initial reports suggested a cardiac arrest, the official cause of death is still under investigation. Preliminary findings suggest she may have suffered a cardiac arrest, but investigators are awaiting toxicology and histopathology reports. Police suspect a sudden drop in blood pressure may have caused her to collapse. According to police sources, Shefali had taken her regular pills and an anti-aging injection in the afternoon, something she had been using for the past few years under medical supervision. She had also been fasting for a puja at home, and taking medication on an empty stomach may have worsened her condition. Another police officer said they found two boxes containing anti-aging/skin glow tablets containing glutathione and vitamin pills in her flat.

Shefali's husband, Parag Tyagi, rushed her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri around 11:15 pm on Friday night, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. Her body was then shifted to R N Cooper Hospital, Juhu, for post-mortem. The police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.

Shefali Jariwala rose to fame in the early 2000s with the music video "Kaanta Laga," becoming a household name overnight. Her bold style and confident screen presence stood out, and she was often referred to as the "Kaanta Laga Girl". Beyond music and films, Shefali ventured into television and reality shows, including Bigg Boss 13 and Nach Baliye.

Her last rites were performed at Oshiwara Hindu crematorium on Saturday evening, with family, friends, and colleagues in attendance. Her husband Parag Tyagi, father Satish Jariwala, and sister Shivani Jariwala performed the final rituals.
