Himesh Reshammiya, known for his distinct vocal style, recently performed in Delhi as part of his "Cap Mania Tour" on July 19, 2025. During the concert, he playfully addressed the frequent trolling he has faced over the years regarding his nasal singing technique.

Videos circulating online show Reshammiya engaging with the audience, asking them whether they wanted him to sing in his "regular" voice or his signature "nasal" style. The crowd enthusiastically cheered for the latter, encouraging him to embrace the very style that has often been the subject of criticism. Reshammiya, seemingly unfazed by the years of jokes and memes, responded with good humor, confirming, "Are you sure?" before launching into a few lines of his iconic song "Aashiq Banaya Aapne" in his trademark high-pitched tone. The audience erupted in cheers, clearly enjoying the self-aware moment.

This isn't the first time Reshammiya has addressed the trolling head-on. Earlier, during a Mumbai concert, he posed the same question to the audience: "Thoda regular gaaun ya naak se gaaun? (Should I sing normally or from my nose?)". He has also spoken about it in interviews, claiming to have pioneered nasal singing in Bollywood and noting that many others followed suit after him. He even clarified that what is often called "nasal singing" was, for him, "high-pitched singing" and "a cry for help," referring to the emotional delivery in songs like "Aashiq Banaya Aapne".

The Delhi concert also saw Reshammiya paying tribute to soldiers and "Operation Sindoor," urging the audience to remember and honor those who safeguard the nation. He said, "Sab hoga magar humein unhe nahi bhoolna chahiye jinki wajah se aaj hum yahan ek dusre ko mil pa rahe hain. Humare desh ke jawano ko salute hai. Jai Hind. Operation Sindoor zindabad".

Reshammiya's "Cap Mania Tour" kicked off in Mumbai on May 31, 2025, and after Delhi, is scheduled to continue in Chennai on August 16. In addition to his musical endeavors, Reshammiya recently starred in the film "Badass Ravi Kumar," which received mixed reviews. Despite the film's lukewarm reception, Reshammiya remains a popular figure, with his concerts drawing large crowds and generating buzz on social media. His ability to laugh at himself and embrace his unique style has undoubtedly contributed to his enduring appeal.
