While season 1 was filmed over approximately eight months and season 2 over five months, season 3 is expected to be filmed in approximately seven months. Vancouver, British Columbia, continues to be the filming location for season 3, similar to past seasons. In season 2, Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth is evolving, he discovers he has a cyclops brother, Grover is missing, and the camp is under siege from Kronos' forces. Percy's quest to set things right will lead him to the dangerous Sea of Monsters to retrieve the Golden Fleece and save Thalia's tree, which protects the camp's borders.
