A recent social media post by Karan Johar has fans reminiscing about the 2006 film, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji. The director shared a throwback photo from the film's set, sparking nostalgia and appreciation for the movie.

The picture features Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, and Rani Mukerji sitting on a bench, seemingly engrossed in a deep conversation during a break from filming. The setting appears to be an outdoor shoot location. Shah Rukh and Karan are bundled up in winter attire, while Rani is gracefully draped in a lehenga and shawl, her head resting on the bench.

Karan Johar's caption accompanying the photo expressed his gratitude to Aditya Chopra and reflected on his experiences. He acknowledged the immense talent he was surrounded by and how it shaped his journey as a storyteller. He wrote, "Being a bystander to such incredible talent has been my hugest learning curve… I look back with indelible memories and gratitude". He further added, "I have never stopped thanking the universe, Aditya Chopra, and Shah Rukh Khan for persuading me that I could make stories and try to use celluloid to realize my boyhood aspirations".

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is a film that explores complex themes of love and infidelity. Shah Rukh Khan plays Dev, and Rani Mukerji plays Maya, characters who find themselves drawn to each other despite being married to other people. The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Preity Zinta in significant roles. The scene from which the photo seems to originate is when Dev and Maya meet at a park bench for the first time and have a deep conversation. This interaction occurs before Maya marries Rishi, played by Abhishek Bachchan. Later in the film, Dev and Maya fall in love and engage in extramarital affairs.

The shared image quickly garnered attention from fans and friends, who flooded the comment section with expressions of love and nostalgia. One fan described the film and the particular scene as "iconic". Another expressed gratitude for the film's existence. Some fans even suggested a sequel featuring Aryan Khan and Kajol's daughter.

Karan Johar's trip down memory lane has not only brought back fond memories of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna but has also highlighted the enduring appeal of Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji's on-screen chemistry. The film remains etched in the memories of fans.

On the professional front, Karan Johar is currently preparing for the release of Mr and Mrs Mahi, a sports drama starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, which is scheduled to premiere on May 31.
