Triptii Dimri, who gained significant recognition after her role in the blockbuster film Animal (2023), faced a mixed bag of experiences following its release. While Animal propelled her into the mainstream, some of her subsequent film choices didn't resonate as strongly with critics and audiences. Her acting coach, Saurabh Sachdeva, has recently shared his perspective on this, suggesting that the projects Triptii chose after Animal might not have been the best fit for her.

Sachdeva, who has worked with Triptii in Animal and Dhadak 2, believes that the actress's talent has always been evident. He praised her work ethic, vulnerability, sensitivity, and camera presence, noting that these qualities remained consistent despite the criticism she faced. However, he pointed out that an actor's choices play a crucial role in their career trajectory, and in Triptii's case, "her choices didn't work well".

After small roles in Mom and Poster Boys, Triptii garnered critical acclaim for her performances in Laila Majnu, Bulbbul, and Qala. Animal further elevated her career, exposing her to a wider audience. However, her subsequent releases, including Bad Newz and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, received mediocre reviews, with some critics suggesting that these films didn't fully utilize her potential. Saibal Chatterjee from NDTV found her lacking in her portrayal in Bad Newz. Rahul Desai of Film Companion particularly lamented the diminished depth of Dimri's character, especially when compared to her more substantial roles in Bulbbul and Qala.

Triptii herself has acknowledged the wave of negativity she faced after Animal's release. She admitted to being taken aback by the criticism, especially after having experienced mostly positive feedback for her earlier work. The actress revealed that she cried for days and struggled to understand the reasons behind the negativity.

Despite the setbacks, Triptii seems to be back on track with her performance in Dhadak 2, where she stars alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi. The film has been well-received, and Triptii's performance has been praised, signaling a potential "comeback" for the actress.

Looking ahead, Triptii has several promising projects in the pipeline. These include Animal Park, the sequel to Animal; Arjun Ustara, a film with Shahid Kapoor directed by Vishal Bhardwaj; an untitled film with Imtiaz Ali and Fahadh Faasil; and Spirit, starring Prabhas. She is also slated to appear in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. There were rumors of her being cast in Aashiqui 3, but she will instead be seen with Kartik Aaryan in an Anurag Basu film. In addition, there's speculation about her doing a special song in Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Triptii's journey highlights the unpredictable nature of the film industry and the importance of making the right choices. Despite facing criticism, she has remained dedicated to her craft, and her upcoming projects suggest that she has a bright future ahead. As her acting coach, Saurabh Sachdeva, aptly put it, even the best players can have an off day, but what matters is their ability to bounce back and continue delivering compelling performances.
