Directed by Anurag Singh, "Border 2" boasts a stellar cast, including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and JP Dutta, with Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with JP Films.

Bhushan Kumar has called "Border" more than just a film, describing it as "an emotion for every Indian". He has stated that the aim with "Border 2" is to carry forward that legacy and bring it to a new generation.
