Rahi Anil Barve's Mayasabha, a much-anticipated Hindi feature film, is set to release in theaters across India on January 30, 2026. The film, directed by Rahi Anil Barve of Tumbbad fame and produced by Zirkon Films, stars Jaaved Jaaferi, Mohammad Samad, Veena Jamkar, and Deepak Damle. Director Rahi Anil Barve describes Mayasabha as a return to the kind of storytelling that has always drawn him toward myth, mystery, and psychological depth. He said that after Tumbbad, he felt an expectation to challenge himself and the audience once again, and Mayasabha is his answer to that. Mayasabha has already garnered positive attention on the film festival circuit. The film will be screened at the Third Asian Film Festival between January 9th and 15th, 2026, with a showcase scheduled for January 11th at 11:30 AM. It has also been selected for the Indian Cinema category at the Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) 2026, organized by the Government of Maharashtra, where it will be screened on January 17th at 7:00 PM. Mayasabha was also the opening film at the Annabhau Sathe Film Festival in Pune, earning strong appreciation and positive word of mouth. It also remained in the spotlight during the closing phase of the Jagran Film Festival 2025 in Mumbai.
Rahi Anil Barve stated that the audience response so far has been extremely encouraging.
