The ARMY is abuzz with speculation that BTS might be filming their comeback music video in Lisbon, Portugal. This follows sightings of all seven members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—traveling together from Incheon International Airport on Monday night, February 2, 2026.
The reunion of all seven members in public marked their first appearance as a full group since announcing their hiatus for solo work and mandatory military service. This has heightened anticipation for their return, with their fifth album "ARIRANG" slated for release on March 20th.
Initially, there was speculation that Dubai would be the filming location, fueled by fans spotting the group at the Dubai airport. Some fans speculated they might be filming at the Dubai Autodrome. However, it was later reported that Dubai was just a layover en route to Lisbon.
The group's agency, BigHit Music, has yet to confirm the filming location or the nature of their activities in Lisbon. However, the simultaneous travel of all seven members strongly suggests a group project, and the timeline aligns with the production of a music video for their upcoming album.
BTS's comeback is generating considerable excitement, especially since their last concerts were in 2022 before the members pursued solo activities and fulfilled their military service obligations. Their album, "Arirang," is particularly meaningful as it connects to the group's Korean identity and explores themes of longing. The title itself references a beloved Korean folk song that embodies the spirit, sorrow, and resilience of the Korean people. BTS previously performed an "Arirang Medley" at KCON 2016 in Paris, showcasing regional variations of the song and highlighting its cultural significance.
Adding to the anticipation, BTS is planning a free performance in Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul around the album release on March 20th. Additionally, Netflix will stream "The BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG" on March 21st, featuring their first live performance of new music from the album. A documentary, "BTS: THE RETURN," chronicling the making of the "ARIRANG" album, will be released on March 27, 2026.
While Portugal isn't currently on the list for the "BTS World Tour," fans in Europe can catch them in Madrid, Brussels, London, Munich, and Paris.
