Following the recent military action, "Operation Sindoor," Malayalam superstar Mammootty has publicly saluted the Indian Army for their efforts. The operation, a response to the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, has garnered widespread support from citizens and celebrities alike.

Mammootty expressed his gratitude and admiration for the Indian Army in a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote: "Salute to our Real heroes! #OperationSindoor proved again, when the nation calls, the #IndianArmy answers. Thank you for saving lives and restoring hope. You Make The Nation Proud. Jai Hind!". His words resonated with many, highlighting the army's role in safeguarding the nation and instilling a sense of security among its citizens.

Operation Sindoor was launched in retaliation for the brutal Pahalgam terror attack on April 22nd, where 26 innocent lives were lost, including that of a Nepali national. The attack, believed to be orchestrated by Pakistan-backed terrorists, drew condemnation from across the nation. In response, the Indian Armed Forces, comprising the Army, Navy, and Air Force, conducted precision strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Defence Ministry confirmed that the strikes targeted Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. The operation has been described as a "focused, measured, and non-escalatory in nature". It involved coordinated strikes across nine key locations.

The response to Operation Sindoor has been overwhelmingly positive, with many prominent figures from the Indian film industry expressing their support for the armed forces. Veteran actor Mohanlal showed his solidarity by updating his social media cover photo with a graphic of Operation Sindoor. Telugu stars Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, and Chiranjeevi also lauded the army's efforts. Other actors like Nandamuri Kalyanram, Prakash Raj, and G.V. Prakash Kumar also voiced their appreciation for the armed forces.

The Indian Army's official social media account confirmed the success of the operation with a powerful message: "Justice is served. Jai Hind". This statement, along with the outpouring of support from celebrities and citizens, reflects a sense of unity and pride in the nation's armed forces. Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Bandi Sanjay Kumar also praised the army, calling the operation a fitting response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

Mammootty's salute to the Indian Army is a testament to the respect and gratitude that the nation holds for its defense forces. His words, along with the support from other film personalities and citizens, underscore the importance of standing together in the face of adversity and recognizing the sacrifices made by the armed forces to protect the country.
