The recently released song "Main Hi Ishq Hoon" from "Kesari Chapter 2" is generating buzz, particularly for the on-screen chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Regina Cassandra. The film, which was released in theaters on April 18, 2025, has already garnered positive word-of-mouth reviews and impressive box office numbers.

"Kesari Chapter 2" is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and features a stellar cast, including Akshay Kumar as C. Sankaran Nair, R. Madhavan as Advocate Neville McKinley, and Ananya Panday as Dilreet Gill. Regina Cassandra plays Parvathy Nair, Sankaran's wife. The film is a historical courtroom drama based on the life of C. Sankaran Nair, who fought against the British Raj to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

The song "Main Hi Ishq Hoon" is sung by Sanjith Hegde, with music composed by Shashwat Sachdev and lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The film's soundtrack also includes the song "Kithe Gaya Tu Saaiyaan," sung by Shashwat Sachdev and Shanya Kashyap, with music by Shashwat Sachdev and lyrics by Irshad Kamil. Another song, "O Shera – Teer Te Taj," was released earlier and composed by Sangtar with lyrics by Sukhwinder Amrit.

"Kesari Chapter 2" has been described as a spiritual sequel to "Kesari" (2019). The film delves into the untold story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and the legal battle led by C. Sankaran Nair against the British Empire. Akshay Kumar has expressed his desire to bring stories of Punjab's valor to the forefront, with potential for "Kesari 3 and 4".

The ensemble cast includes Simon Paisley Day as General Reginald Dyer, Alexx O'Nell as Lord Chelmsford, and Amit Sial as Tirath Singh, among others. The film has amassed over Rs 40 crore at the domestic box office since its release and continues to draw audiences with its engaging narrative and patriotic themes.
