In a heartwarming turn of events, a Zomato delivery agent in Pune has become an inspiration, capturing the attention of many, including Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor. The story, which highlights the agent's dedication and positive attitude in the face of adversity, has gone viral, resonating with people across the internet.

The incident began with a simple food order placed by Shripal Gandhi, a Pune-based resident. Gandhi ordered a paneer tikka sandwich, Bingo chips, and oat raisin cookies from Subway through the Zomato app. However, upon delivery, only the sandwich arrived. When Gandhi informed the delivery agent about the missing items, the agent, seemingly hesitant, requested him to contact the restaurant or Zomato.

Following protocol, Gandhi contacted Subway, who acknowledged the error and offered to pay the delivery agent ₹20 to return and collect the missing items. While the agent was under no obligation to do so, as Zomato, not Subway, is responsible for compensating delivery partners for additional trips, he insisted on fulfilling the order completely. "Sir, it's my responsibility. I want the customer to be happy," he reportedly said. He returned to the restaurant, picked up the chips and cookies, and delivered them to Gandhi with a smile, refusing the ₹20 payment. He explained that he didn't need the money for a mistake that someone else made because God had already given him so much.

What made this interaction even more impactful was the agent's personal story, which he shared with Gandhi. The delivery agent had previously worked as a construction supervisor at Shapoorji Pallonji, earning a monthly salary of ₹1.25 lakh. However, a severe car accident left him with paralysis on the left side of his body, causing him to lose his job and drastically altering his life.

Despite his circumstances, the Zomato agent expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity he had been given. He stated that Zomato had given him a second chance and a sense of purpose, providing for his family and enabling his daughter to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist. "Zomato kept my family alive. I may be handicapped, but I've been given an opportunity. I will never let Zomato's name be affected," he told Gandhi. His resilience and positive outlook deeply moved Gandhi, who shared the story on social media, praising the agent's spirit and Zomato's initiative to employ people with disabilities.

The Facebook post quickly went viral, garnering widespread attention and admiration. Netizens lauded the delivery agent's dedication, integrity, and unwavering spirit. The story also caught the eye of Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, who took note of the inspiring incident. While Kapoor's specific reaction hasn't been detailed in available news, his acknowledgement highlights the broader impact of the story.

Gandhi concluded his post by thanking Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of Zomato, and the entire Zomato team for their commitment to providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities. He emphasized that their decision was profoundly changing lives, offering not just employment but also dignity and hope. He noted that while he had ordered a sandwich, he received a valuable lesson in gratitude and resilience.
