Kangana Ranaut, known for her outspoken nature and self-assuredness, recently took a trip down memory lane, revisiting an old interview of herself. The actress-turned-politician shared the clip on her social media, expressing her admiration for her younger self. The video quickly went viral, sparking reactions from fans and industry insiders alike.

In the throwback interview, Kangana, then a rising star in Bollywood, was asked a question by Simi Garewal. Kangana's response, even at that early stage in her career, reflected a deep sense of self-belief and resilience. "Suppose all these go away, what happens then?" Simi asked, referring to fame and success. Kangana replied, "How can it go away? If you are talking about time, times will change, and things will change. But what is in me and what I've lived, how can anybody take that away from me?"

Sharing the video, Kangana wrote, "I would be a fan." She further added, "Find a young woman as cool as this." This public display of self-appreciation is characteristic of Kangana, who has never shied away from expressing her confidence and acknowledging her achievements.

Kangana's career has been marked by both critical acclaim and controversies. She has won multiple National Film Awards and was honored with the Padma Shri, one of India's highest civilian awards. Kangana turned filmmaker with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Emergency. In Emergency, which was released in theaters on January 17, 2025, Kangana portrayed the role of late prime minister Indira Gandhi. Besides acting, Kangana has also ventured into politics, currently serving as a Lok Sabha MP from Mandi since June 2024. She is also set to make her Hollywood debut with a lead role in the horror drama Blessed Be the Evil, alongside Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone, with production beginning this summer in New York.

This isn't the first time Kangana has reflected on her past. She has often spoken about her early struggles in the film industry, the challenges she faced as an outsider, and the battles she fought to establish herself. She has also been vocal about issues such as nepotism and sexism in Bollywood, often sparking debates and controversies with her statements. In the past, Kangana has also reacted to old remarks made about her, such as Sonam Kapoor's comments about her English fluency on Koffee With Karan, responding with her characteristic sass.

Kangana's recent reaction to her old interview is a reminder of her unwavering self-belief and her journey to becoming one of the most prominent figures in Indian cinema and politics. Whether one admires her or disagrees with her views, there is no denying that Kangana Ranaut is a force to be reckoned with.
