The relationship between Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and his brother Faisal Khan has been under scrutiny for years, marked by public disputes and allegations. Faisal Khan, known for his role in "Mela," has made serious claims against his brother Aamir, including accusations of confinement, forced medication, and attempts to control his life.

According to Faisal, the conflict began when Aamir and other family members allegedly believed he was suffering from mental health issues. In various interviews, Faisal stated that he was wrongly confined to Aamir's house, kept under house arrest for approximately a year, and forcibly given medications that he didn't need. He claimed that this was done without his consent and against his will. He has used terms like being "caged" to describe his experience during this period.

Faisal Khan pursued legal action to assert his independence and mental fitness. The case culminated in a court ruling in 2008, where the judge declared Faisal mentally sound and capable of managing his own life. The court also advised that he should be treated as a normal individual. Faisal has stated that the court's decision validated his claims that he was never actually unwell and that the allegations about his mental health were speculative and spread by his brother and other family members.

The accusations and the ensuing legal battle caused a significant strain in the relationship between the two brothers. Faisal has spoken about feeling betrayed by his family and has expressed the desire to live freely and avoid being "caged" again. He also alleged that Aamir attempted to sabotage his career.

Despite the past grievances, there have been signs of reconciliation between Aamir and Faisal in recent years. Notably, Faisal attended the wedding of Aamir's daughter, Ira Khan, in Mumbai in 2024. This public appearance suggested that the brothers have made efforts to mend their relationship. In interviews, Faisal has mentioned that he and Aamir are on talking terms and greet each other on occasions. However, he has also alluded to the differences in their lives, with Aamir being occupied with his successful career while Faisal focuses on his own endeavors.

Faisal Khan's career in Bollywood has been less prominent than his brother's. While he started as a child actor and appeared in films like "Madhosh," his career faced setbacks after the commercial failure of "Mela." In recent years, Faisal has made a comeback with projects like "Faactory" (2021) and "Iddaru" (2024), demonstrating his continued passion for cinema. He has also expressed a desire to live a free life and pursue his interests independently.
