Abhishek Bachchan is celebrating 25 years in Bollywood, a milestone marked by reflection and forward-looking anticipation. The actor, who debuted in 2000 with J.P. Dutta's "Refugee" alongside Kareena Kapoor, has shared his thoughts on the journey, expressing gratitude and a desire to continue evolving.

Bachchan described his initial foray into acting as "nerve-wracking". Speaking about landing his first film, he revealed that J.P. Dutta approached him after seeing him at an award function. He admitted that venturing into acting, despite being familiar with the industry through his family, was indeed terrifying. He said that doing something for the first time is always terrifying, and first days always give a lot of butterflies.

While fans remember his debut with Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek recently shared that his first-ever screen test for Refugee was actually with Bipasha Basu, who was a model at the time. He admitted that he has always been nervous about auditions and feels self-conscious during screen tests. He describes himself as a director's actor and says he relies heavily on the guidance and direction given on set—something that's often missing in a typical audition setup.

Instead of dwelling on the past, Abhishek is choosing to look ahead with renewed determination. Drawing inspiration from his father, Amitabh Bachchan, who has spent over five decades in the industry, Abhishek emphasized the importance of constantly moving forward. He aims to utilize the lessons learned over the past 25 years to fuel further growth. When asked about a potential re-release of "Refugee," Abhishek stated that the decision rests with J.P. Dutta, the director and producer.

Amitabh Bachchan has expressed immense pride in his son's achievements. The veteran actor acknowledged Abhishek's dedication, growth, and diverse film choices. Big B bowed to his son’s variety and praised him. Amitabh penned a heartfelt note on his blog, admiring Abhishek for choosing challenging roles and delivering each character with immense dedication.

Abhishek's career has seen its share of ups and downs. After "Refugee," he faced a period of unsuccessful ventures before gaining recognition in 2004 with "Dhoom". He earned critical acclaim for his performances in dramas such as "Yuva," "Sarkar," and "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna," securing three consecutive Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actor. His successes as a lead actor include the comedy "Bunty Aur Babli" and the drama "Guru". He has also made his mark in the digital space with projects like "Ludo", "Breathe: Into the Shadows" and "Bob Biswas".

Abhishek was recently seen in "Housefull 5". His upcoming film, "Kaalidhar Laapata," is set to release on July 5th. He is also slated to appear in "King," alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
