Vishnu Manchu's mythological action drama "Kannappa," which also stars Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal, hit theaters on June 27. The film opened to decent reviews and had a strong start at the box office, earning ₹9.25 crore on its first day. It continued to perform decently over the weekend, collecting ₹7.15 crore on its second day and ₹6.9 crore on its third day.

However, as is common with many films, "Kannappa" experienced a sharp decline on its first Monday. Early estimates indicate the film earned around ₹2.50 crore on its fourth day across all languages. Some reports even suggest lower figures, with one mentioning ₹1.56 crore and another stating ₹0.96 crore as of 7 pm. This brought the total four-day collection to approximately ₹25.90 crore.

The significant drop in earnings on Monday raises concerns about the film's long-term performance. The coming weekdays will be crucial in determining the film's overall success at the box office.

On its fourth day, "Kannappa" had varying occupancy rates in different languages: 11.38% in Tamil, 15.53% in Telugu, and 6.97% in Malayalam. The Telugu occupancy showed 12.22% in the morning and 16.16% in the afternoon.

Despite the positive reviews, "Kannappa" is witnessing a decline in box office collections with each passing day. While the opening was impressive, the big dip on Monday could be a sign of concern. The film is unlikely to reach the ₹25 crore mark after seeing the slow collection rate on Monday.

Adding to the film's woes, Vishnu Manchu has spoken out against piracy, revealing that over 30,000 illegal links of the film have been taken down. He expressed his disappointment and requested people to stop stealing and support cinema.

"Kannappa" is also facing competition from other films, including Kajol and Ajay Devgn's "Maa," which blends mythology with horror, and Aamir Khan's "Sitaare Zameen Par," which is in its second week.
