Vikrant Massey has openly discussed his views on religion, emphasizing it as a "way of life" and sharing his personal connection to various faiths. The actor, known for his roles in films like "12th Fail" and soon to be seen in "The Sabarmati Report", comes from a multi-religious family and embraces a secular approach to life.

Massey's diverse family background has significantly shaped his perspective. His mother is Sikh, his father is Christian, and his wife, Sheetal Thakur, is Hindu. Notably, his brother converted to Islam at the age of 17, a decision that was fully supported by his family. Massey recounted that his family's acceptance of his brother's choice instilled in him the importance of personal belief and the freedom to choose one's own path. He recalls his father being questioned by relatives about allowing his brother's conversion, to which his father responded that it was no one else's business, as his son was only answerable to him and had the right to choose what he wanted.

Growing up in such a diverse environment, Massey witnessed numerous discussions and debates surrounding religion and spirituality. These experiences led him to question the nature of religion, ultimately concluding that it is "man-made". Despite this belief, he deeply respects Hindu traditions, viewing them as a cultural affiliation rather than a strict religious obligation. He appreciates Hindu culture and celebrates festivals like Diwali because they are ingrained in his cultural memory and lifestyle. Massey also shared that his father, despite being a devout Christian, participates in Hindu prayers (puja) with his mother and wife, illustrating the harmonious coexistence of different faiths within their home.

Massey and his wife had a traditional 'naamkaran' ceremony for their son, Vardaan, and have a temple in their house, showing that no particular religion is prioritized. He also expressed that he aims to teach his son rationalism, promoting a balanced and open-minded approach to beliefs.

Vikrant Massey has emphasized that he does not adhere to any one particular religion. He underlined the importance of supporting others regardless of their background, promoting peaceful coexistence and mutual respect. He proudly celebrates all festivals, whether it's Eid with friends, Christmas with his father, or Gurupurab, because he believes this reflects the true essence of India. He also mentioned that even within his extended family, there are interfaith marriages, highlighting the secular values that are deeply ingrained in his life.
