In "Special Ops 2," Tacker reprises his role as Farooq Ali, a RAW agent known for his sharp instincts. The series, created by Neeraj Pandey, features Kay Kay Menon as the protagonist Himmat Singh, along with Meher Vij, Vinay Pathak, Muzammil Ibrahim, and Saiyami Kher. The first season of "Special Ops" was released in 2020. Tacker stated in an interview with PTI that he wanted to be part of the legacy of "Special Ops" and was happy to work with Neeraj Pandey and the celebrated cast again.

"Tanvi The Great" showcases Tacker in a different role as Captain Samar Raina, an Indian Army officer and Tanvi's father. The film, directed by Anupam Kher, follows the emotional journey of a young autistic woman, played by Shubhangi Dutt, who is determined to fulfill her late father's dream of honoring the Indian flag at Siachen, the world's highest battlefield. The film also stars Boman Irani.

"Tanvi The Great" was screened at the Cannes Film Market in May, with Tacker, Kher, Dutt, and Irani in attendance. Tacker said that visiting Cannes wasn't even in his dreams and he was happy to exhibit their film on an international platform. He also praised Anupam Kher as a compassionate director who knows how to get the best performance out of an actor.

Karan Tacker's portrayal of Farooq Ali in "Special Ops" has been noted for his intense action scenes. He even revealed some behind-the-scenes incidents, including an accidental kick during a fight sequence.
