He sings in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, and more. He began his career as a member of the band S5 and gained recognition after composer A.R. Rahman noticed his talent. Rahman offered him an audition, which led to Benny's successful career as a playback singer.
