Sonakshi Sinha is reportedly set to grace the stage of Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Salman Khan, to promote her upcoming supernatural thriller, Jatadhara. The film, slated for release on November 7, 2025, promises a thrilling blend of mythology, black magic, and ancient curses.
Jatadhara is directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal and features Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu in leading roles. The film delves into the story of an ancient forbidden ritual called Pisacha Bandhanam, which traps evil spirits to protect hidden treasures. Sudheer Babu plays a skeptic who doesn't believe in ghosts, while Sonakshi Sinha portrays Dhana Pisachi, a powerful and vengeful spirit awakened by greed.
The trailer of Jatadhara was launched recently by Telugu actor Mahesh Babu. The trailer suggests that black magic isn't just a ritual but a weapon that unleashes forces beyond human control. Shilpa Shirodkar's character is introduced as someone driven by greed, who inadvertently unleashes the pishachini. Sudheer Babu's character must confront the demon and find his faith before it's too late.
Sonakshi Sinha described what makes Jatadhara powerful is how it weaves the supernatural into real human emotions. She added that the fear isn't just external; it's something that lingers in the mind long after the story ends. Sudheer Babu called his role one of the most challenging he has taken on.
Producer Shivin Narang shared insights into the demanding schedule, particularly the climax sequence. He said that the climax is the soul of Jatadhara, where two powerful forces of light and darkness collide. According to Narang, Sonakshi and Sudheer shot continuously for 24 hours over three days, giving everything physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Sonakshi's husband, Zaheer Iqbal, expressed his admiration for the trailer on Instagram. He noted Sonakshi's versatility and jokingly added that Jatadhara made it official that she has "a little devil in her".
Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Salman Khan, has been capturing audience attention. The show has garnered significant viewership on OTT platforms, topping the charts with 8 million views. Recent episodes have featured Salman Khan addressing contestant behavior and interactions. For instance, he recently reprimanded Amaal Mallik for using foul language and derogatory remarks and also called out Shehbaz Badesha for his manipulative behavior. Salman also slammed Neelam Giri and Nehal Chudasama for their behavior towards Tanya Mittal.
Sonakshi Sinha's appearance on Bigg Boss 19 is expected to generate buzz for Jatadhara, as she steps into a new role as Dhanapisachini.. This marks her Telugu debut, and she will be sharing the screen with Sudheer Babu for the first time.
