The Bombay High Court recently declined their request to travel to Phuket for a family trip, citing pending cases against them. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai police has issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against the couple in connection with a ₹60-crore cheating case. Businessman Deepak Kothari has alleged that the couple defrauded him of ₹60.48 crore in a loan-cum-investment deal involving their now-defunct company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. Kothari claims that the money, invested between 2015 and 2023, was misused for personal expenses.
In addition to the cheating case, Raj Kundra is also facing a money laundering case filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the production and circulation of pornographic content. He was arrested in July 2021 on charges of creating pornographic films and publishing them on mobile apps.
Despite these legal challenges, the Kundra family has been trying to maintain a sense of normalcy. Shilpa, known for her positive attitude and focus on mental well-being, recently shared an introspective post on social media, emphasizing the importance of mindfulness and emotional strength.
