Enrique Iglesias created a viral moment during his Mumbai concert on Thursday night, marking his return to India after 13 years. The pop star, performing at the MMRDA Grounds, entertained over 25,000 fans.

During the performance, Iglesias walked down a ramp extending into the audience. A fan threw their phone onto the stage, and Iglesias caught it mid-song while holding his microphone. He smiled, took a selfie with the crowd, flashed a peace sign, and tossed the phone back, eliciting cheers and laughter. This spontaneous act became a highlight of the night, with videos quickly spreading across social media.

The gesture sparked a trend, with other concertgoers attempting to get a selfie with the singer. However, security intervened, and Iglesias's team returned subsequent phones to their owners.

Beyond the selfie moment, Iglesias greeted the Mumbai crowd with a "Namaste," further endearing himself to the audience. He also ventured to the barricades, hugging, high-fiving, and even kissing one fan.

The concert featured opening performances by the EDM duo Progressive Brothers and Indo-Canadian pop star Jonita Gandhi. Iglesias then delivered a 90-minute set, performing hits like "Bailamos," "Hero," "Escape," and "Be With You". The audience waved banners, wore merchandise, and sang along throughout the show.

The sold-out concert attracted several Bollywood celebrities, including Malaika Arora, Vidya Balan, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, Sonal Chauhan, Rubina Dilaik, and Lauren Gottlieb.

Iglesias is scheduled to perform again at the same venue, with organizers anticipating an even larger crowd. His Mumbai appearance marked his third visit to India, solidifying his popularity with Indian fans.
