Anees Bazmee has confirmed that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 is in development, with Kartik Aaryan set to return to the popular horror-comedy franchise. In a recent interview, Bazmee shared that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which was released a year ago, continues to be a favorite among audiences.

Bazmee expressed his admiration for Kartik Aaryan, stating that Bhool Bhulaiyaa showcased Aaryan's exceptional comic timing. He revealed plans to collaborate with Aaryan on other comedy projects as well. When asked if Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 would be one of these projects, Bazmee confirmed it was "most definitely" in the works. "The love that the series has accrued over the years is unsurpassable. So yeah, it is happening. The only factor that I can confirm is Kartik," Bazmee stated.

The director also reflected on his experience working with Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, praising their professionalism and collaborative spirit. When asked about the possibility of them returning for the fourth installment, Bazmee suggested it was possible but also hinted at the potential inclusion of new faces who have never been part of the franchise before.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan, was released on Diwali last year and became a significant box office success, earning ₹283.80 crore in India. The film is considered a spiritual sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022).

In addition to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4, Kartik Aaryan has begun filming for Karan Johar's Naagzilla. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, details about the film are still under wraps, but it is expected to be a surprise for fans.
