During a recent concert in Bengaluru, singer Armaan Malik dedicated the song "Jeena Nahi" to his brother, Amaal Mallik, who is currently a housemate on Bigg Boss 19. The dedication took place on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Armaan addressed the concert audience, explaining that he was "a little sad" he couldn't meet with Amaal before his brother entered the Bigg Boss house. He shared that both of them had recently released a song together, "Jeena Nahi," which Amaal completed before entering the reality show. Armaan emphasized that he had never performed the song live before and that this was the first time he was singing it.
Expressing his support, Armaan hoped that the performance clip would be shared with Amaal through the Bigg Boss team. He encouraged the audience to show their love for Amaal. A video circulating online shows Armaan requesting the audience to turn on their flashlights during the performance and dedicate it to Amaal.
"There's a thing that has happened in the few months and I am a little sad that I couldn't meet my brother before he went into the Bigg Boss house," Armaan said. "Both of us have released a song recently. He made it before and then went into the house because the song has released now. It is called Jeena Nahi. We have never sung this ever before. This is the first time I am singing it. I know this performance clip I will somehow be able to share it with Amaal through the Bigg Boss team. Make some noise for Amaal".
"Jeena Nahi" is a song from the movie Love In Vietnam. Armaan noted it was a "small movie but it's got a lot of heart, got a lot of love". The lyrics of the song speak of love, separation, and longing.
The dedication comes amidst increased attention on Amaal Mallik's participation in Bigg Boss 19, particularly after fellow contestant Nehal Chudasama accused him of inappropriate behavior. Armaan has publicly defended his brother, expressing his support on social media.
Following the concert dedication, some social media users labeled it a "PR stunt". Armaan responded to these claims, stating that his actions came from the heart. He tweeted, “You mean P-Yaar strategy.. coz dil se nikli cheezon ko PR ki zarurat nahi,” implying that genuine emotions don't need public relations.
In another tweet, Armaan voiced his pride in Amaal's behavior on the show. "So proud of how Amaal is coming into his own on the show. It's tough seeing him sad sometimes, but the love from you all, and even a few inside, will keep him strong,” he wrote.
Armaan Malik has previously credited Amaal for introducing him to Western pop music, which has influenced his own musical journey. The brothers have collaborated on numerous songs, including "Hasi Ban Gaye," showcasing their strong musical bond.
