Elli AvrRam, the Swedish-Greek actress who has carved a niche for herself in Bollywood, recently spoke about her special bond with Salman Khan, describing him as an "angel" who has protected her in the industry. In a recent interview, AvrRam shared her experiences in Bollywood, her equation with Salman Khan, and how his presence has indirectly shielded her from potential misconduct.
AvrRam, who debuted in Bollywood with Mickey Virus in 2013 after participating in Bigg Boss 7, acknowledged the prevalent rumors about being in Salman Khan's camp during her initial years in the industry. She revealed that she has remained in touch with Salman Khan and recently met him after several years at Ganpati celebrations.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for Salman Khan's protective nature towards those he is close to. "What I am extremely grateful for when it comes to Salman and the fondness he has had for me is that he is very protective of his people. I do believe he has been like an angel in my life," she stated.
AvrRam also highlighted the unsettling experiences of other women in the industry, which she found shocking. She believes that Salman Khan's influence inadvertently created a safe environment for her. "In all my years in the industry, from what I have understood, when it comes to a lot of other girls and what they have experienced in the industry, it's been extremely shocking for me to hear. And I somehow understood that a lot of people are scared of Salman Khan, so they don't dare to misbehave. That's been a beautiful protection and I am very grateful for that," she explained.
The actress, who moved to Mumbai from Sweden to pursue her Bollywood dreams, reflected on the challenges of living alone in a new country with a different culture. She emphasized the importance of self-reliance and focusing on personal growth. "There are so many things you need to control and take care of when living alone in a different country that functions very differently from the one you were born and raised in with your parents. Suddenly, you are here all independent and alone, and you have to figure out life," AvrRam said. She admitted that she had been bad at asking for help.
Elli AvrRam's journey in Bollywood has not been without its hurdles. In the past, she has spoken about facing casting couch experiences, being told to lose weight, and dealing with sexism. Despite these challenges, she has worked in several films, including Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Naam Shabana, and had special appearances in songs like "Har Funn Maula".
AvrRam's recent music video, "Zaar Zaar," was her last appearance on screen. Earlier this year, her photos with content creator Ashish Chanchlani sparked considerable buzz.
Her experience on Bigg Boss 7 was wonderful and close to her heart. She expressed gratitude for the love and acceptance she received from people all over the world and from India.
Elli AvrRam's story is one of perseverance, gratitude, and navigating the complexities of the Bollywood industry with the support of those who believe in her.
