Mumbai, October 13, 2025 – As the release date of "Premachi Goshta 2" approaches, actress Ridhima Pandit has shared an emotional connection to the film, revealing how artificial intelligence (AI) helped her, in a way, reconnect with her late mother. "Premachi Goshta 2," slated to release on October 21, 2025, marks Pandit's debut in a lead role in Marathi cinema.
Pandit, known for her work in Hindi television shows such as "Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant" and "Khatron Ke Khiladi," expressed that being part of a Marathi project felt like returning to her roots and honoring her cultural legacy. The film, directed by Satish Rajwade, also stars Lalit Prabhakar, Rucha Vaidya, Swapnil Joshi, and Bhau Kadam.
While details of how AI was specifically used have not been fully disclosed, it's understood that technology played a role in allowing Pandit to revisit cherished memories and, in her words, "reunite" with her mother's presence during this significant milestone in her career.
"Premachi Goshta 2" is a sequel to the 2013 film "Premachi Goshta". The film promises to celebrate love, relationships, and second chances. In this movie, Ridhima plays Priya, balancing grace and emotional depth. The film explores themes of destiny and second chances, following Arjun Mapuskar (Lalit Prabhakar), a disillusioned man who questions the concept of marriages made in heaven after his own fails.
Pandit has also revisited the iconic Marathi song “Disla Ga bai Disla” for the film. The romantic track "Ye Na Punha," featuring Pandit and Lalit Prabhakar, has already gained popularity on social media, with praise for their on-screen chemistry. Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon has also shared her support for the song.
Ridhima Pandit's debut in "Premachi Goshta 2" is particularly special as her grandmother had always wished to see her perform in Marathi cinema. The film has been four years in the making.
"Premachi Goshta 2" is produced by Sanjay Chhabria and co-produced by Amit Bhanushali. The film is set to release on October 21, 2025, coinciding with Diwali.
