Mumbai: Sidharth Malhotra was spotted heading for an early morning shoot for his upcoming film, Vvan: Force of the Forest. The Bollywood actor shared a glimpse of his morning commute with his fans on social media, revealing a serene and musical start to his day.
In a short video clip posted online, Malhotra offered a peek through the sunroof of his car, capturing a calm, cloudless sky. Adding to the peaceful vibe, the classic song "Sooraj Ki Bahon Mein" from the movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara played softly in the background. He captioned the post simply with “#Vvan,”. The song, composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and sung by Dominique Cerejo, Clinton Cerejo & Loy Mendonsa, is known for its soothing melody and uplifting lyrics. The lyrics speak of life, light, and embracing the moment, creating a sense of joy and anticipation.
Vvan: Force of the Forest is described as a folk-fantasy thriller, jointly produced by Balaji Telefilms and TVF Motion Pictures. Directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, the film promises to be a grand visual experience, intertwining mythology, mystery, and raw human emotion. The story is set in an ancient forest steeped in spiritual energy and centuries-old beliefs, exploring the clash between faith, greed, and redemption. The film aims to bridge the gap between traditional folklore and contemporary storytelling.
The film also stars Tamannaah Bhatia and Maniesh Paul. The early teasers have sparked curiosity, with one featuring Bhatia walking through a dimly lit forest carrying a diya, and another showing Malhotra traversing ancient ruins with a torch.
Originally slated for release during the Chhath festival in 2025, Vvan: Force of the Forest is now scheduled for a theatrical release on May 15, 2026. The film holds special significance for Malhotra, as it is his first film after embracing fatherhood with his wife, Kiara Advani, earlier this year.
Malhotra's recent film, Param Sundari, faced criticism for perpetuating regressive stereotypes and a perceived lack of chemistry between the lead actors. However, his portrayal of Vikram Batra in the war film Shershaah (2021) was widely acclaimed.
With Vvan, Malhotra is set to transport fans into a world of mystery and magic. The film's blend of mythology, mystery, and emotional depth, combined with its visual grandeur, is generating strong anticipation.
