B Praak captivated audiences with a soul-stirring performance at the Delhi Formation Day celebration held at the Red Fort on November 1, 2025. The event, themed "Meri Dilli Mera Desh – Ek Bharat, Aatmanirbhar Bharat," was organized by the Directorate of Education and Sports in collaboration with the Delhi Tourism Department and the Government of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.
The celebration served as a confluence of Delhi's rich heritage, vibrant culture, and community spirit. The evening commenced with cultural performances by various artists and school students, showcasing a blend of classical, folk, and contemporary art forms that reflected the city's cosmopolitan essence. These performances set the stage for the highlight of the night: B Praak's live music concert.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, a light and sound show, along with projection mapping on the Red Fort’s facade, took the audience through Delhi's historical transformation. The projection was themed “Main Hoon Dilli” (I am Delhi). The event also commemorated the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, paying tribute to his pivotal role in uniting India.
B Praak's performance resonated deeply with the audience. Videos circulating online show the crowd enthusiastically singing along, with many visibly moved by his soulful renditions. According to one account, the Red Fort reverberated with his voice, and his music touched the hearts of many, with some attendees even shedding tears. The energy of the crowd amplified the impact of B Praak’s already powerful performance.
In addition to the cultural performances and musical extravaganza, the Delhi Formation Day celebration also featured a food festival on the Red Fort lawns. Fifty-two food stalls offered a wide array of regional dishes from across India, alongside Delhi's iconic street food. To promote Delhi's entrepreneurial spirit, some popular local food outlets were given free stalls. Twenty-five food bloggers were also present to share their experiences on social media.
The event was open to the public and commenced at 6 pm. Authorities anticipated a large turnout and implemented comprehensive arrangements for crowd management and security in coordination with the Delhi Police. Ashish Sood, the education minister, emphasized that the celebration aimed to celebrate Delhi as the heart of India, embodying unity, resilience, and inclusivity. He also highlighted the government's efforts to project the self-reliant side of businesses in the capital by offering free stalls to local food outlets. The Delhi government also launched a new logo and tagline for Delhi at the event.
