Prabhas is set to star as a dedicated police officer in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film, Spirit. The movie is generating considerable buzz as it marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Vanga, known for his intense and bold storytelling in films like Arjun Reddy and Animal.
According to insiders, Prabhas will portray a serious and sincere cop determined to take down a powerful international crime syndicate. The quest to dismantle the crime syndicate drives him to adopt a ruthless approach as he seeks to reclaim his honor, transforming his journey into an epic saga. This role is expected to showcase a new side of Prabhas, one that fans haven't seen before. Vanga aims to redefine Prabhas's image, revealing the "Rebel Star" within him. The film is being described as an emotional yet wild action drama, promising intense action and deep emotions.
Vanga has revealed that Spirit's protagonist comes from a middle-class background, a departure from the wealthy leads in Animal and Arjun Reddy. The director has already completed approximately 70% of the background music for Spirit, a strategy he employed during the production of Animal to save time. Vanga noted that having the background music ready during filming helps with knowing when to cut scenes, potentially saving around 5-6 days of production time.
Triptii Dimri has been cast as the female lead, with reports indicating she will play a doctor and that her character will have a strong romantic angle with Prabhas. Harshavardhan Rameshwar is composing the music for the film. While some rumors suggested Trisha Krishnan might reunite with Prabhas, Triptii Dimri has replaced Deepika Padukone as the female lead.
Filming is expected to commence in late 2025, primarily in Thailand. Pranay Vanga, Sandeep's brother and co-producer of the film, mentioned that shooting will begin in September 2025 with a few actors, and Prabhas will join the set in November 2025. Spirit is planned as a pan-Indian project, releasing in multiple languages.

The Raja Saab is slated for release on January 9, 2026. The makers of The Raja Saab have dismissed rumors of further delays, confirming its release during Sankranti. Fauzi, a war-themed action drama set in 1940s British India, is planned for release around Independence Day in 2026.
