Ram Charan's stylish look in the new poster for the "Chikiri Chikiri" song from his upcoming film "Peddi" has gone viral, generating immense buzz among fans. The poster, released ahead of the song's launch on November 7th, features Ram Charan in a cool and stylish dance pose.
The makers of "Peddi" had previously teased fans with the question "#WhatIsChikiri?," creating a wave of curiosity online. They unveiled the title of the first single as "Chikiri," further increasing anticipation. The team also shared a picture featuring A.R. Rahman, the music composer, along with Mohit Chauhan and director Buchi Babu Sana, hinting at a collaboration. It has been revealed that A.R. Rahman and Mohit Chauhan are reuniting after their iconic Rockstar (2011) soundtrack to recreate their magic for Peddi's first single.
The promo of the "Chikiri Chikiri" song has already caught the attention of fans, with many comparing Ram Charan's hook step to Chiranjeevi's iconic step from "Muta Mestri".
"Peddi" is directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who made his Tollywood debut with the hit film "Uppena" in 2021. The film stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, with Janhvi portraying the character of Achiyyamma, who has been described as “fierce and fearless”. First-look posters of Janhvi in a "charming village avatar" have also been released. The film features an ensemble cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma.
The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. "Peddi" is scheduled for a global release on March 27, 2026.
The film is described as a rural sports action drama. The first glimpse suggests it revolves around a cricket tournament set in a rural backdrop. A song featuring 1,000 dancers, choreographed by Jani Master, was filmed in Mysore during Vinayaka Chavithi, showcasing the film's grand scale.
