Neil Nitin Mukesh has recently voiced his concerns about the toxic culture prevalent in Bollywood, highlighting the frustrations and pressures faced by many within the industry. In an interview, the actor opened up about his own experiences and observations, shedding light on the challenges of navigating the film industry.

Mukesh acknowledged that the industry can be "toxic," a reality he has witnessed and experienced firsthand. He expressed his disappointment with the current atmosphere, emphasizing his belief that the film industry should function like a family. He questions why industry members can't support and appreciate each other's work.

He noted that a lack of consistent success and unfulfilled ambitions have contributed to a frustrated environment, which he believes is unfortunately becoming the norm. He feels many celebrate the failure of others more than their success. He also stated that to navigate this negativity, one must have self-belief and passion.

Mukesh also addressed the issue of double standards within the industry. He recounted an instance where a critic made a derogatory comment about him, and the industry rallied in support of the critic. He has also spoken about facing judgement and obstacles due to his appearance. He revealed that people doubted his Hindi-speaking abilities and acting skills because he didn't fit a stereotypical image. He also believes his fair complexion has limited his opportunities, as filmmakers hesitate to cast him in diverse roles. He questions why he isn't afforded the same opportunities as actors like Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan to portray a variety of characters.

Despite these challenges, Mukesh remains determined to prove his capabilities and secure challenging roles. He stressed that in a country as diverse as India, uniqueness should be celebrated rather than seen as a limitation.

In light of his own struggles, Neil Nitin Mukesh's words serve as a reminder of the pressures and complexities that exist beneath the surface of Bollywood's glamorous facade. His willingness to speak out contributes to the ongoing dialogue about fostering a more supportive and equitable environment within the film industry.

On a more positive note, Mukesh has also expressed his admiration for the current generation of Bollywood actors, including Vicky Kaushal, Kartik Aaryan, and Rajkummar Rao, for their talent and evolving performances. He was also impressed by Ananya Panday's performance in "Kesari Chapter 2". He believes that these actors are raising the bar and pushing boundaries. Mukesh sees watching films as a form of education and he learns something new every time.
