The 2025 American Music Awards, hosted by Jennifer Lopez at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, was a night of celebration, surprises, and unforgettable moments, with fan-voted awards highlighting the year's most influential music.

Billie Eilish emerged as the evening's biggest winner, securing a clean sweep of all seven categories in which she was nominated. These wins included the coveted Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for "Hit Me Hard and Soft," and Song of the Year for "Birds of a Feather". Eilish, currently on her world tour, accepted her awards via video message, expressing her gratitude and wishing she could have been present.

Beyoncé also had a historic night, claiming her first-ever American Music Awards in the country music category. Her album "Cowboy Carter" earned her both Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Country Album, solidifying her impact across genres.

Several other artists also took home notable awards. Eminem celebrated a triumphant return, winning his first AMAs in 15 years for Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop Album, with "The Death of Slim Shady." Post Malone secured wins for Favorite Male Country Artist and Favorite Country Song. SZA was recognized as Favorite Female R&B Artist and won Favorite R&B Song for "Saturn," while Gracie Abrams was named New Artist of the Year. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars won Collaboration of the Year and Favorite Music Video for "Die With a Smile".

Adding to the night's grandeur, Janet Jackson received the prestigious Icon Award and delivered a powerful medley of her greatest hits. Rod Stewart was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, closing the show with a performance of "Forever Young" after being introduced by five of his children.

The performances were a highlight of the evening, with Jennifer Lopez kicking off the show with a medley of the year's biggest hits. Alex Warren made his AMAs debut with a performance of "Ordinary," backed by a 40-person choir, and Becky G and Manuel Turizo performed their collaboration "Que Haces."

Other winners included Becky G for Favorite Female Latin Artist, RM for Favorite K-Pop Artist, and Doechii for Social Song of the Year. Kendrick Lamar, who had the most nominations with 10, won for Favorite Hip-Hop Song.
