Dipika Kakar, the celebrated television actress, and her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, observed a quiet Eid al-Adha this year within the confines of a hospital room. This poignant celebration occurred as Dipika is currently recovering from a major surgery related to her stage 2 liver cancer diagnosis.

Earlier this week, Dipika underwent a grueling 14-hour surgery to remove a tumor. Shoaib has been diligently sharing updates on Dipika's health with fans through his vlogs and social media posts. He recently conveyed the positive news that Dipika has been moved out of the ICU and is now in a stable condition. This development coincided with the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha, bringing a sense of relief and gratitude to the family.

Shoaib shared a heartwarming glimpse of their Eid celebration on Instagram. The picture featured Dipika resting in her hospital bed, wearing a yellow wristband labeled 'Fall Risk'. Both she and Shoaib were holding 'Eidi' envelopes, a traditional monetary gift given during Eid, sent by Shoaib's father. Shoaib captioned the story, "Dipi aur mere liye papa ki taraf se eidi aayee. Eid Mubarak," expressing his appreciation for the thoughtful gesture.

In his recent vlog, Shoaib shared details about the surgery. He revealed that Dipika was taken to the operation theatre at 8:30 AM and was only brought out at 11:30 PM. Following the surgery, she was immediately transferred to the ICU, where she remained under close observation for three days. Shoaib expressed his immense gratitude to everyone who has sent prayers and blessings for Dipika's recovery. He confirmed that the surgery was successful and the tumor has been completely removed. The tumor has been sent for biopsy, and the family awaits the results.

Shoaib also spoke about the emotional challenges he faced during the long hours of surgery. He admitted to feeling panicked as the hours stretched on with no updates, a situation made more difficult by the fact that his family had never experienced such a lengthy surgery before.

Furthermore, Shoaib revealed that doctors discovered a stone in Dipika's gallbladder during the surgery. Consequently, they removed her gallbladder and also had to excise a small portion of her liver where the cancerous tumor was located. The doctors have assured them that the liver's regenerative properties will allow it to heal over time, but they must remain cautious and ensure she receives proper care.

Despite the circumstances, Shoaib ensured that Eid was special for Dipika. The family's loving gesture of sending Eidi added warmth to their hospital-bound celebration. Shoaib also mentioned that their son, Ruhaan, is doing well and has been bravely managing without his mother during her treatment.
