Wamiqa Gabbi, the talented actress known for her performances in Punjabi and Hindi cinema, as well as streaming series like Jubilee and Khufiya, has been making waves with her latest film, Bhool Chuk Maaf. While promoting the film, the question of her friendships within the Bollywood industry has naturally arisen.

Gabbi has been candid about her relationships in the industry, offering insights into her perspective on friendship and connection in the professional world. While she acknowledges having "friendly friendships" with many people, she differentiates between acquaintances and true "dost" (friends). According to Gabbi, true friends are those you can call in moments of both joy and distress, those with whom you share a deep, core-level connection. She identifies her closest friends as those from her Chandigarh days, emphasizing the importance of long-standing relationships.

However, Gabbi is optimistic about forming deeper connections within the industry. She hopes to develop true friendships in the coming years. Her recent experience working with Rajkummar Rao, her co-star in Bhool Chuk Maaf, suggests that genuine bonds can be forged. She described Rao as "mera bhai (my brother)," emphasizing the rare connection they share. She appreciates his inspiring nature and their shared sense of humor, noting that being able to joke around with someone is a significant thing.

Wamiqa has described meeting Shah Rukh Khan for the first time on the sets of Baby John. She shared a lighthearted anecdote about her brother joking that she should slit her wrist to get SRK's attention, a shocking suggestion that left everyone speechless! When she informed SRK about it, the entire crew was left speechless.

Gabbi's journey in Bollywood started with a cameo in Jab We Met (2007) where she played one of Geet's cousins. Talking about her journey in an interview with Bollyy, she mentioned, "I've worked in the industry for quite some time now, and all because of the constant encouragement of my parents. They always kept me grounded and safe. I also had incredible friends who were with me. That's why I never lost heart. I really feel that when your vibes are clean, you get good people and opportunities towards you."

She emphasizes that every role, no matter how small, teaches something new about the craft and about herself. Gabbi chooses roles based on her gut feeling, focusing on whether a character excites her rather than overthinking screen time.

Her perspective highlights the challenges of forming deep friendships in a fast-paced, competitive environment like Bollywood, where professional relationships often take precedence. Gabbi's emphasis on genuine connection and shared understanding suggests that while she may not have a large circle of close friends in the industry yet, she remains open to building meaningful relationships based on mutual respect and camaraderie.
