Kush Jotwani, known for his recent work in the streaming series 'Knock Knock... Kaun Hai?', is set to play a crucial role in Anurag Basu's upcoming film, 'Metro... In Dino.' This anthology film, a spiritual sequel to Basu's 2007 hit 'Life in a... Metro,' explores the complexities of modern relationships in urban settings. The movie boasts an ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta.

Jotwani shared insights into how he secured his role in 'Metro... In Dino.' While filming the first schedule of 'Dil Dosti Dilemma' in Mumbai, he received a call from Anurag Basu's production house, inviting him to a Zoom meeting with the director. During this initial interaction, Basu requested a personal meeting, which Jotwani described as "crisp and to the point," appreciating Basu's efficient and direct approach.

Basu elucidated the film's plot and asked Jotwani to audition for a part. While shooting the second schedule of 'Dil Dosti Dilemma' in Bangalore, Jotwani received the audition script and promptly recorded it from his hotel room. On the final day of the schedule, as he was leaving Bangalore, he received the callback confirming he had been selected for the role, with the shoot scheduled to commence within four days.

'Metro... In Dino' is structured as an anthology, weaving together four distinct stories centered around contemporary couples. The film captures various facets, hues, and moods of love. Principal photography for the film began in December 2022 and concluded in February 2024, spanning locations such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Lucknow.

The film's music is composed by Pritam, marking a reunion with Anurag Basu after five years, their last collaboration being 'Ludo.' Their partnership began with 'Gangster,' which, despite controversies surrounding the originality of its music, initiated a long and fruitful collaboration between the composer and the director. Anupam Kher has also lent his voice to a song in the film.

'Metro... In Dino' is produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Anurag Basu Productions. The film is slated for release on July 4, 2025.
