After a challenging period, television actress Dipika Kakar has finally returned home following her surgery for stage 2 liver cancer. The actress, known for her role in "Sasural Simar Ka," recently underwent a 14-hour surgery to remove a tumor, her gall bladder, and a portion of her liver. Her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, has been diligently sharing health updates with fans through his vlogs, providing insights into Dipika's recovery journey.
Shoaib Ibrahim recently shared a heartwarming vlog capturing the emotional reunion between Dipika and their son, Ruhaan. The video showcased Dipika's visible emotion as she embraced Ruhaan, marking a significant and comforting moment in her recovery. Shoaib had previously mentioned that Dipika constantly requested videos of Ruhaan during her hospital stay, finding comfort and strength in those moments.
In the days following the surgery, Dipika was in the ICU for three days, a period that caused her considerable anxiety. Shoaib recounted how Dipika was scared of being alone in the ICU. He also shared that she had a cough which made things worse and caused pain in her stitches.
Despite these challenges, Dipika has shown remarkable resilience. Shoaib shared that Dipika is improving and is now on a regular diet. Although she experiences some pain and has become more emotional, often tearing up, she is steadily recovering. She has also resumed walking.
Dipika also made her first public appearance after the surgery in Shoaib’s vlog. She expressed her gratitude to fans, hospital staff and other patients for their prayers and support. Dipika and Shoaib met on the sets of "Sasural Simar Ka" and married on February 22, 2018. They welcomed their son, Ruhaan, in 2023.
