Across the globe, vibrant celebrations marked Pride Month in June 2025, with enthusiastic crowds gathering in cities like New York City, various locations in India, and Mexico City to honor the LGBTQ+ community and advocate for equal rights and inclusion.

In New York City, the annual Pride March, a powerful symbol of LGBTQIA+ resilience, unity, and activism, took place on Sunday, June 29, 2025. The march commenced at 11:00 AM, starting at 26th Street and Fifth Avenue, and concluding on 15th Street and 7th Avenue. The theme for NYC Pride 2025 was "Rise Up: Pride in Protest," a nod to the original 1970 march commemorating the Stonewall Riots. Millions of spectators, community members, and allies participated in the march, which featured over 700 groups and 60 floats. PrideFest, the annual street fair, also took place on June 29, offering food vendors, entertainment, and activities along Fourth Avenue. The city implemented stepped-up security measures to ensure the safety of all attendees.

India also witnessed numerous Pride celebrations throughout June. While cities like Delhi and Mumbai are well-known for their large-scale Pride parades, unique and impactful celebrations occurred across the country. Kolkata, home to Asia's oldest Pride walk, held its 26th Rainbow Pride Walk, transforming the city into a canvas of protest, identity, and joy. Vadodara, Gujarat, hosted a quiet yet impactful Pride march organized by local LGBTQIA+ groups, sparking conversations in a largely conservative region. Shillong, Meghalaya, celebrated Pride with a colorful and culturally rich event that blended tribal identity with modern advocacy. Other notable Pride events in India included the Delhi Queer Pride Parade, the Mumbai Queer Azaadi March, the Bangalore Namma Pride, and the Chennai Rainbow Pride.

In Mexico City, the Gay Pride celebration, one of Latin America's largest LGBTQ+ events, took place from June 25 to June 30, 2025. The main parade, known locally as "Marcha del Orgullo LGBTTTIQ+," kicked off at 10:00 AM on June 28 from the iconic Angel of Independence monument in the Zona Rosa neighborhood. The parade route followed Paseo de la Reforma avenue, Avenida Juárez, Eje Central, and Madero Avenue, culminating at the historic Zócalo square in downtown Mexico City. The event, which drew approximately 250,000 attendees, served as both a vibrant celebration and a powerful political statement advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and addressing relevant issues. Puerto Vallarta also hosted Vallarta Pride 2025 from May 17-25, with the theme "Revolution: The Future Has No Gender".

These Pride celebrations around the world highlight the ongoing fight for equal rights and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community. The events serve as platforms for visibility, advocacy, and solidarity, bringing together individuals, organizations, and allies to promote acceptance, understanding, and equality.
