Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been making headlines recently, both for a social media post that set the internet ablaze and for the first look at his upcoming film, "Battle of Galwan".

On July 4, 2025, Khan shared a motion poster for "Battle of Galwan" on his Instagram account, quickly generating buzz among fans. The poster depicts Khan in a rugged, battle-worn avatar, complete with a blood-smeared face, a thick moustache, and an intense, determined expression. He is also shown holding a wooden stick wrapped in barbed wire, suggesting the brutal nature of the combat in the film. The poster's caption reads: "Over 15,000 ft. above sea level, India fought its most brutal battle without firing a single bullet". This refers to the unique circumstances of the Galwan Valley clash, where a prior agreement prohibited the use of firearms.

"Battle of Galwan" is inspired by the real-life clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley in Ladakh on June 15, 2020. This confrontation, which occurred along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), involved hand-to-hand combat with makeshift weapons due to the ban on firearms. The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and starring Chitrangda Singh in a key role, aims to recreate one of India's most severe border conflicts in recent history. The makers are aiming for a 2025 release.

The announcement of "Battle of Galwan" has been met with excitement from fans, who see it as Khan's comeback after the lukewarm reception of his previous film, "Sikandar". Social media has been flooded with positive reactions to the first look, with many praising Khan's intense portrayal of a soldier. Some fans have expressed that the film could be Khan's most impactful role yet, while others have commented on the film's potential to evoke strong emotions and pay tribute to the bravery of Indian soldiers.

Adding to the recent buzz around Salman Khan, the actor also shared a shirtless picture on Instagram where he is seen flaunting his ripped physique. The picture, taken inside a gym, quickly went viral, with fans flooding the comment section with compliments. Some fans even referred to the picture as a "thirst trap," a term used to describe a photo posted with the intention of attracting attention or admiration.
