He expressed his dream come true of bringing this concept-driven project to life and requested blessings and support as they embark on this journey. Bhandarkar, known for his films like "Fashion" and "Heroine," aims to reveal the untold stories of women in the Bollywood industry with this film. He stated that "The Wives" will be a bold and unapologetic look at the secrets, struggles, and resilience of women who are often seen but seldom heard. He aims to peel back the glamorous layer of society and expose what lies beneath.

"The Wives" boasts a cast including Sonali Kulkarni, Regina Cassandra, Rahul Bhatt, Saurabh Sachdeva, Arjan Bajwa, and Freddy Daruwala. The film is produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and P J Motion Pictures. This project marks Madhur Bhandarkar's second collaboration with producer Pranav Jain of P J Motion Pictures, following their previous collaboration on "India Lockdown".
