With the recent success of "F1," co-starring Brad Pitt, Damson Idris is rapidly accelerating his ascent in Hollywood. The British-Nigerian actor, known for his compelling performances and undeniable charisma, is poised to become a major name in the industry.

Idris stars alongside Pitt in "F1," a high-octane film that plunges into the world of motorsport. Idris plays Joshua Pearce, a rookie Formula One driver who partners with Pitt's character, Sonny Hayes, to elevate their struggling team, APXGP. The film showcases the dynamic relationship between the two drivers as they navigate the challenges of the racing season. The film's director, Joseph Kosinski, is confident that Idris will gain even more recognition from this role.

Pitt himself has praised Idris, acknowledging his charm and talent. According to Idris, the two actors became fast friends during filming. When asked if Pitt had any advice for Idris as he embarks on this new phase of his career, Pitt simply said, "Just don't crash, kid".

Born Adamson Alade-Bo Idris on September 2, 1991, in Peckham, London, Idris comes from humble beginnings. Growing up in a Nigerian family, his heritage has played a significant role in shaping his identity and artistic expression. He pursued his passion for acting by studying drama at Brunel University and later training at the Identity School of Acting in London.

Idris's breakout role came in the FX crime drama "Snowfall," where he played Franklin Saint, an ambitious drug dealer in 1980s Los Angeles. The series ran for six seasons and earned Idris widespread praise. While working on "Snowfall," Idris also appeared in films such as "City of Tiny Lights," "Megan Leavey," and "Farming".

Beyond "F1," Idris has several other exciting projects on the horizon. He recently wrapped filming "Children of Bone and Blood," a fantasy epic based on Tomi Adeyemi's novel, in which he plays Prince Inan alongside a star-studded cast including Viola Davis and Idris Elba. Idris feels blessed to have Idris Elba as a mentor, considering him a "little brother". Additionally, Idris is preparing to portray jazz legend Miles Davis in the upcoming film "Miles & Juliette," which will explore Davis's romance with French singer Juliette Gréco.

Idris also founded a fine jewelry line, named Didris, inspired by his mother, and is getting into producing as well. His production company has a deal with FX Networks and wants to create opportunities for emerging talents.

Idris seeks out roles that challenge him and are different from each other and from himself. He is committed to portraying characters he can be proud of and that showcase his range as an actor. Despite his rising fame, Idris remains grounded and dedicated to giving back to his community, supporting young aspiring artists and providing mentorship.
