As Shah Rukh Khan turned 60 on November 2, 2025, a massive crowd of fans gathered outside his iconic residence, Mannat, in Mumbai to celebrate their beloved "King Khan". Every year, fans throng to Mannat on his birthday, and this year was no different, with celebrations commencing at midnight.
Eager fans arrived at Mannat from across the country, some traveling long distances to catch a glimpse of the superstar. The area was filled with enthusiastic fans holding banners that read "We love you SRK" and "Happy Birthday King Khan". Many celebrated with posters, balloons, and even fireworks, chanting "Shah Rukh, Shah Rukh!".
Prince Singh from the 'SRK Warriors' group in Kolkata, who traveled 33 hours by train with his team to Mumbai, told ANI, "Thousands of fans want to come, but the police have allowed only a few to control the crowd. Still, we are confident that Shah Rukh will come out and meet us today or tomorrow".
However, this year, Shah Rukh Khan announced he would not be greeting fans at Mannat due to concerns raised by authorities regarding crowd control. He conveyed his apologies to his fans via social media, stating, "Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me. My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues". He added, "Thank you for understanding and believe me… I will miss seeing you more than you will. Was looking forward to seeing you all and sharing love. Love u all…".
Despite the superstar's inability to greet them in person, the fans' enthusiasm remained undeterred. Many continued to celebrate by cutting cakes and singing birthday songs. Videos circulating on social media showed fans running towards Mannat, eager to be a part of the festivities.
Prior to the fan gathering, Shah Rukh Khan reportedly celebrated his birthday with an intimate bash in Alibaug. Filmmaker Karan Johar shared a glimpse of the celebration on Instagram, featuring Rani Mukerji and Ananya Panday.
Adding to the excitement, Shah Rukh Khan announced his next film, "King," slated for release in 2026. Directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously collaborated with Shah Rukh on the blockbuster "Pathaan," the film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The action entertainer will feature Suhana Khan and Deepika Padukone. The announcement was made alongside a title reveal video showcasing the actor in a new avatar with silver hair.
Shah Rukh Khan's journey, from his early role in the series 'Fauji' to becoming one of the biggest movie stars globally, continues to inspire generations of fans. His success story exemplifies how dreams can be realized through wholehearted pursuit, solidifying his place in the hearts of people worldwide.
