Soha Ali Khan has recently shared insights into her parenting approach with Kunal Kemmu, revealing that she prefers to handle most of the "parent duties" herself. In a recent interview with Tweak India, the actress explained her hands-on approach to raising their 8-year-old daughter, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu.
Soha expressed that she doesn't like to "outsource anything" when it comes to Inaaya's routine, particularly getting her ready for school. She lightheartedly mentioned that relying on Kunal for morning duties might result in both him and Inaaya dozing off, causing them to be late. "If I don't do it, it won't happen. If I send Kunal to wake Inaaya up, they both will be lying in bed till 7:20 am. and I will be like, 'Guys, school time'," Soha said.
Despite her preference for managing the routine, Soha also emphasized the importance of understanding and cooperation within the family. She mentioned having an agreement with Kunal and Inaaya that allows her to sleep in on holidays. Inaaya is aware of this arrangement and respects her mother's need for extra rest. "I told my husband, women need more sleep than men, so he lets me sleep for that extra hour. And Inaaya also knows," Soha shared.
Kunal Kemmu has also spoken about their parenting dynamic, acknowledging Soha's significant role. In a past interview, Kunal admitted that Soha does "most of the heavy lifting" in parenting, while he enjoys the "good stuff". He also expressed his admiration for Soha, highlighting her ability to balance her roles as a wife, mother, actor, and friend.
