Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is reportedly set to meet football legend Lionel Messi in Mumbai on December 14, 2025, ahead of his GOAT India Tour 2025. This marks Messi's second visit to India since 2011.
Messi's GOAT India Tour 2025 spans across four cities: Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi, from December 13 to 15. The tour includes public appearances, cultural events, and celebrity football exhibitions. He is accompanied by his Inter Miami teammates Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul.
The Mumbai leg of the tour on December 14 includes several high-profile events. Messi is scheduled to participate in the Padel GOAT Cup at Brabourne Stadium. Following this, he will attend a celebrity football match featuring leading Bollywood actors. The day will conclude with an event at Wankhede Stadium, featuring a charity fashion show. Kareena Kapoor Khan, along with other Bollywood stars like John Abraham and Jackie Shroff, are expected to participate in the fashion show. There will also be an auction of Messi's Qatar 2022 World Cup memorabilia, with proceeds going to charity.
Earlier on December 13, Messi virtually unveiled a 70-foot statue of himself at the Sree Bhumi Sporting Club in Lake Town, Kolkata. The event was attended by Shah Rukh Khan and Luis Suárez. He also attended a tribute program at Salt Lake Stadium where he met Shah Rukh Khan and introduced his son AbRam to the football star.
Later on December 13, Messi traveled to Hyderabad for an event at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, featuring a short exhibition match with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, a football clinic, and a felicitation ceremony.
The final leg of the tour will be in New Delhi on December 15. Messi will attend an event at the Arun Jaitley Stadium where he will felicitate the Minerva Academy, winners of three European youth trophies this year. He will also conduct coaching clinics for children and is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
