Krystle D'Souza's Spontaneous Dance With Ranveer Singh: An Unprepared But Memorable 'Dhurandhar' Song Launch Experience.

Mumbai, January 4, 2026 - Actress Krystle D'Souza has revealed the unexpected circumstances surrounding her dance with Ranveer Singh at the music launch of the film Dhurandhar. In an exclusive interview, D'Souza shared that her impromptu performance to the song "Shararat" with Singh was entirely unplanned.

The music launch event in Mumbai was intended to showcase all the songs from Dhurandhar, which was released in theaters on December 5, 2025. D'Souza, who features in the dance number "Shararat" alongside Ayesha Khan, attended the event with the understanding that she would simply be an audience member, enjoying the performances by singers Jasmin Sandlas and Madhubanti Bagchi.

"Trust me, I was not prepared even 1%," D'Souza told Zoom in an interview. She recounted how she had chosen to wear a saree for the event, a garment she rarely wears, believing her role was merely to "sit at the music launch" and "clap, vibe or whatever" while the singers performed "Shararat".

However, the situation took an unexpected turn when Ranveer Singh, known for his spontaneous and energetic personality, decided to pull D'Souza onto the stage. According to D'Souza, Singh said, "Krystle, this is your song. Let's go".

D'Souza, caught off guard, found herself dancing alongside Singh to "Shararat". Despite the lack of preparation, she embraced the moment, matching Singh's energy. "There was no trying. I was automatically on his level to try to match up," she said, adding, "Obviously, I can't be on that level. His level is next level. But I tried".

D'Souza described the experience as feeling like dancing in a club, uninhibited and free. "I didn't feel like I was on a stage, and I was dancing. I felt like I am dancing in a club. No one is watching. No one is doing anything. I am living in the moment. I enjoyed that moment so much," she shared.

The actress also expressed her admiration for Singh's supportive nature. She recounted how Singh encouraged her to take center stage and enjoy her moment. "Then he kept putting me on centre also like take your moment, take your moment and honestly I felt like that is so big of him and so lovely of him," D'Souza stated. She added that Singh's gesture created a "new space of respect" for him in her eyes.

The Dhurandhar music launch was a free event for fans, and the surprise performance of "Shararat" with D'Souza and Singh became a highlight. The film Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal, and is directed by Aditya Dhar.
