Indian stand-up comedian Zakir Khan, known for his relatable humor and storytelling, has announced an indefinite break from performing, potentially until 2030. Citing the need to prioritize his health and sort out other aspects of his life after a decade of non-stop touring, Khan's announcement has prompted many fans to seek out his remaining shows before his hiatus.

Khan's current tour, titled "Papa Yaar," has dates scheduled in India and abroad through May 2026. In India, fans can catch him in Bengaluru on January 23 and 24, Chennai on January 27, Nashik on February 3, Ahmedabad on February 6 and 7, and Surat on February 8.

Following his India dates, Khan will take his "Papa Yaar" tour overseas. He is scheduled to perform in Dublin, Ireland, on April 26. A more extensive tour of the United States will follow in April and May, with performances in Houston on April 19, San Jose on May 2, Seattle on May 9, Austin on May 10, Los Angeles on May 16, Boston on May 22, and Washington, D.C. on May 23.

While the current schedule concludes in late May, Zakir Khan has hinted at shows up until June 20, 2026. In an Instagram post, he urged fans to attend his shows, stating, "Every show is a celebration till June 20. I won't be able to come to many cities, so please make the effort to come this time". This suggests that more dates may be added to the schedule between the end of May and June 20.

Zakir Khan's decision to take a break comes after a period of intense activity, particularly following the pandemic. The surge in interest for live stand-up comedy saw Khan performing sold-out shows across India and extensively touring abroad. His performances are known for their ability to connect with audiences on a personal level, with many considering him a master storyteller who blends humor and emotion.
