Vanity Van Disparity: Ranveer's Dhurandhar Privileges Compared to R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal's Shared Accommodation?

Recent buzz surrounding the Aditya Dhar-directed spy thriller, Dhurandhar, has centered not only on its gripping narrative and stellar cast but also on alleged disparities in on-set facilities. Reports have surfaced suggesting that Ranveer Singh, who plays a pivotal role in the film, had access to three vanity vans, while other prominent actors like R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal were provided with only one.

Dhurandhar, which hit theaters on December 5, 2025, and is now available on Netflix, features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The film is a spy action thriller written, co-produced, and directed by Aditya Dhar. It tells the story of an undercover Indian intelligence agent infiltrating Karachi's criminal syndicates to dismantle a terror network targeting India. The storyline is loosely inspired by real geopolitical events and conflicts in South Asia, adding a layer of realism to the high-stakes narrative.

The alleged discrepancy in vanity van allocation has sparked debate among industry insiders and fans alike. While some view it as a standard practice reflecting an actor's market value and role importance, others argue for equitable treatment of all cast members, especially seasoned actors like Madhavan and Rampal.

Ranveer Singh is reportedly playing Ashok Chakra awardee Major Mohit Sharma in the film. Arjun Rampal's character, Major Iqbal, is said to be inspired by Ilyas Kashmiri, a Pakistani militant. R. Madhavan portrays Ajay Sanyal, a character resembling India's National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval.

The film has been a box office success, grossing over ₹160 crore and earning over Rs 1301 crore worldwide during its theatrical run. The performances of Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna have been particularly praised, with many hailing them as career peaks.

Dhurandhar is planned as a two-part franchise, with the sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, slated for release on March 19, 2026. The sequel will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. The teaser for Dhurandhar: The Revenge was recently unveiled, offering glimpses of Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan, alongside Ranveer Singh.
