Satish Shah Remembered: Bollywood Celebrities Pay Tribute to the Beloved Actor After His Passing.

Mumbai, October 25, 2025 – Veteran actor Satish Shah, best known for his comedic roles in films like "Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro" and the television sitcom "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai", has passed away at the age of 74. Shah died on Saturday afternoon at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, due to kidney failure.

News of his demise has sent shockwaves through the Indian film and television industry, with heartfelt tributes pouring in from colleagues, friends, and fans alike. Filmmakers Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Madhur Bhandarkar are among the first to express their grief and remember the actor's immense contribution to Indian cinema.

Karan Johar, who worked with Satish Shah in films like "Main Hoon Na" and "Om Shanti Om", remembered him as a "powerhouse of talent" and a "gem of a person". In a social media post, Johar wrote, "Satish Ji's impeccable comic timing and ability to bring a smile to everyone's face were unparalleled. Farah Khan, who directed Shah in "Main Hoon Na", shared a touching anecdote from the film's shooting. She recalled a hilarious scene where Shah's character spits on Shah Rukh Khan while scolding him. Khan mentioned how difficult it was to shoot the scene because Shah Rukh Khan couldn't stop laughing. She fondly remembers Shah's ability to infuse humor into every scene, making him a delight to work with.

Madhur Bhandarkar, who shared a close bond with the late actor, expressed his shock and sadness. "I am deeply saddened by the passing of Satish Ji.
